Full or half body massage

60 minutes: $80
90 minutes: $120
120 minutes: $160

In my style of massage I use lotion and oil while incorporating detailed trigger point therapy to release long held pain and stress, flowing connective Swedish strokes to relax the body and deep tissue to unwind tight muscles. With these I also include some fluid strokes from Lomi Lomi, a Hawaiian style of massage. To help with injured or over worked massages I use techniques from sports massage, Russian massage and structural integration to further align the body for proper healing.

As I work on you I consistently communicate what I feel or see throughout your body and I ask questions to deepen my understanding of the causes of each imbalance I may notice. With each imbalance I may suggest exercises or stretches to help you continue the healing process outside of the massage, however these are only suggestions and if you choose not to follow them or would prefer others I will gladly provide something else.

All massages include a dry, warm hot towel under the neck when lying supine (face up) to further help release these muscles, unless requested otherwise. If you have never tried this before, please try it at least once to see if you enjoy it.

Some stretching may be included in your massage, unless requested not to or stretching is contraindicated for any reason.

Talking during the massage is encouraged. I have personally found most physical stress is caused by psychological stress, and when people talk about whatever stressors they may have in an unlimited way, without judgment, they are able to release and relax into the massage faster and easier making the bodywork that much more effective.

Aromatherapy

Choose from one of five essential oils to add to your massage:

Lavender: Relaxation

This is the most popular option! If your goal is to relax and wind down lavender is the perfect addition to your massage.

Lemongrass:  Energizing

Sweet and not quite as sour as regular lemon, this scent will make you think of summer and will have you ready to jump up and greet the day!

Eucalyptus: Cleansing

Great for those who have allergies or sinus pressure. I use this one a lot for myself.

Peppermint: Cooling

Perfect for headaches and inflammation. Combine this with an extended scalp massage to have you feeling amazing!

Bergamot: Uplifting

Studies have shown that this oil can help reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety. Due to this and it's mild sweet and bitter scent this is my second favorite oil that I personally use daily.

Passive stretching

30 minutes: $30

With this 30 minutes we will be focusing on stretching only. This is for those who either can't stretch due to physical limitations or feel they need to stretch more. The stretching included can be manual stretching where I place my hands flat on either end of a muscle and pull in opposite directions to create a superficial stretch across the skin, I do this as a cross body stretch during the warm up for my massages. Or we can do deeper stretches where I move your limbs, back, hands, feet and head into positions that provide a full deep stretch. Thiw 30 minutes can feel like having just done a relaxing yoga class. Stretches include, but are not limited to:

  • SCM (sternocleidomastoid) (The front of the neck)
  • Trapezius
  • Levator muscles
  • Lats
  • Pecs
  • Lower back
  • Psoas
  • Quads
  • Glutes
  • Hamstrings
  • Inner thigh
  • Groin
  • IT bands
  • Soleus(calves, helps with plantar fasciitis)
  • Gastrocnemius (calves)
  • Ankles
  • Feet
  • Hands
  • Forearms

If you wish to include this extra 30 minutes of stretching with any length of massage you are welcome to do so. I have even had clients who have had two hour massages (120 minutes) with the 30 minutes of stretching allowing them to have a 150 minute or 2.5 hour massage! If this sounds like something you would like please let me know.
